written well held my intrest and i could not put it down. please take the time to read looking forward to more of this set the female lead was strong and compassionate. i loved that
Have just read the first book and can't wait to read more of her story. A real page Turner!
I could do without the profanity. I realize that is the "thing" that makes bad guys bad as well as adding emphasis to the good guys's exclamations, but I read a lot of books with similar plots and lots of bad people where the idea gets across without offending those of us who have a vocabulary that doesn't need cursing too make a point.
4 stars because it started off super slow and I nearly stopped reading. So glad I kept reading as both sets of stories were well written, thought out, with great characters. Good villains and heroes! Read both series straight through!
I liked the story and plot, I personally didn't like the ruff language, it is not part of my everyday life, but I gloss across it when it comes up. All in all I enjoyed reading the first book and am looking forward to reading the rest of the boxed books.

HER LAST TOMORROW is a collection of 3 plot-driven stories, one of which is divided into 3 segments, one which can be considered as stand-alone -- but with a subsequent book with repeat characters and a cliff hanger "ending", followed by a 3rd book concluding that story.
First the negative The Professor, The Professor Book 1, and Witch Myth Book 1 all had cliff-hanger endings, which I deplore. They constitute an author's plan to engage the reader, and then hold as hostage the balance of the story, until additional money is provided by the reader. Had I not received all 3 Professor "books" (which actually constitute ONE complete story), I would never have considered reading another of this author's works. Never before have I read a hard back or paperback book and reached the final page only to find a cliff-hanger, and I own a combination of more than 500 paperbacks and hardbacks. Authors who write well will have returning customers, without needing to repeatedly dangle a carrot until the reader provides additional money to read the next segment of the story.
"There were a few errors in the Professor series, such as using "like" when "as" would have been correct, a few grammatically incorrect or poorly-worded sentences, and ...Henry having been married 21 years but having an 18 year old (and still in school) son from a previous marriage??? Regarding the writing of 2nd half of "Book" 2 and the 10 years later ending Too convoluted and seemingly stretched, with the conclusion lacking details and then jumping 10 years later to the pat happy ending. Also, these parts were missing the tight and engaging quality found in both the opening and the beginning of Book 2.
The positive The Professor (multiple parts which actually constitute one book) is an interesting story reminiscent of the movie Skulls, there being a secret society on campus, criminal activity with a hidden death, mysterious happenings, good characters who become involved while putting their lives at risk, characters seemingly bad who are actually good and other interesting factors. The Professor captures the reader's interest immediately and holds it, using a well-written and interesting opening, although with overuse of O'Connor's last name, when a pronoun could have better been used. The first parts of the story had good momentum and were tight and particularly engaging, with believable characters that you liked, as well as some that you "loved to hate".
Witch Myth A Yew Hollow Cozy Mystery A quick, easy read involving a young witch who returns to Yew Hollow, a murder, a ghost unable to depart because of unfinished business, a family of witches in a town which is uneasy about them, and of course an evil person who is seeking control. This is a stand-alone story with characters which are threaded into a subsequent 2-segmented story (labeled as “Book 1 and Book 2 of Witch Myth).
Witch Myth Book 1 Following a disastrous event in her home, which she later attributes to her abusive, but deceased husband, Teagan Riley escapes to Yew Hollow, where she initially receives assistance from Morgan Summers, a witch. Interesting characters include handsome Detective Dominic Dobbs, and the ghost of Teagan’s deceased husband. This is a story segment (cliff-hanger) which resumes at the start of “Book 2”.
Witch Myth Book 2 Through unanticipated circumstances, Morgan Summers acquires additional, specialized skills. The unusual happenings involve ghosts of family members, the mysterious yew tree, a scaled beast, and further attempts to usurp the power of the witches and destroy the town coven, with events leading to the conclusion of the segmented Witch Myth book.
Both parts (“Book” 1 & 2), excluding the graphic violence, seem geared more to younger adults.
With all of the story segments and the one, stand-alone book in this collection, the author provides fast-paced, easy to read, engaging stories.
Great stories that capture you from the beginning. Each one was great. The plot, characterizes we're all fully developed and read smoothly. First I have read her books, and definitely looking forward to more.
